Crystal basket” fixtures use a metal frame (often brass or similar, here brushed gold finish), from which chains or strands of cut crystals or glass prisms hang — forming a “basket” or “cage‑like” shape when viewed from below.
The crystals are arranged so light from internal bulb(s) passes through or reflects off them — creating multiple reflections/refractions and a sparkling, “jewel‑like” effect.
